Fall-Off-the-Bone Ribs


This recipe successfully reproduces finger-lickin' restaurant ribs. In the summer we do this ahead and then finish them off on the barbecue. It's like they have been cooking all day.


Ingredients:

  • 4 Lbs. baby back ribs

  • 1 tsp. black pepper

  • 3 Tbsp. brown sugar

  • 2 tsp. smoked Paprika

  • 3 tsp. sea salt

  • 2 tsp. garlic powder

  • 1 cup water

  • 1 cup Apple cider vinegar

Directions:

  • Mix all dry ingredients together in a small bowl

  • Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs, and rub the seasoning over the ribs

  • Add water and apple cider vinegar to the Instant Pot-place trivet in the bottom of pot

  • Place seasoned ribs on trivet (roll the ribs into a circle)

  • Cover pot and set to high for 20 minutes

  • Allow pot to naturally release pressure (about 10 minutes)

  • Remove ribs and place on a foil lined baking sheet and brush with barbecue sauce

  • At this point, if you wish, you can place the ribs under a broiler for 5 minutes
